Rain, Hail, and Snow?!

Happy new year! This past week was great! J. is back in town and we had a lesson with him Saturday and went over the baptismal interview questions with him to make sure that he is preparing and ready for his baptism this month! When we went through each of the questions he answered them wholeheartedly and was very personal with his testimony. I know that he is ready! And then he came to church again on Sunday and learned a lot from the testimonies of the members as they got up during sacrament meeting.

Friday night we were driving to visit some people that haven't been visited in a long time and we could not find their house at all! We were searching everywhere and it felt like god was trying to take us somewhere else, and he was because we ended up knocking on someone else's door and he told us that he doesn't go to church around here but he has faith. We shared the message of the restoration with him and afterwards he told us that him and his wife pray all the time, but they don't have a church here. He told us to stop by and he would talk to his wife about our church. God knows exactly where we need to be even when we don't! And he WILL guide us in the right directions as we are open to listening.

On Saturday we had a lesson with V. and talked to her about baptism and she committed to pray for a baptismal date but the next time that we see her!

On Sunday sister Hernaez and I were walking to a lesson with someone and felt promoted to walk a different way, and as we did that we walked past two men sitting outside and one of them has talked to us before and the other one said hi to us, and he asked us if we were just walking around and why because it was hailing outside and looked like it had snowed! But it was only hail. They both came over to talk to us and the one guy we didn't know is named K. and the other is D. K. was telling us about his daughter and how grateful he is that she just found Jesus because now he doesn't have to worry about her anymore. It started to hail again so we went to sit under a deck and he asked us questions about the mission and also about gospel doctrine. By the end of us talking he told us to go and talk to his son who lives just down the street and he also told us that his day just before he met us was depressing and rough, but just talking to us made him feel a lot better. And he also mentioned that he never talks to religious groups but he enjoyed speaking with us. We went to see his son later that night and he told us to come back! Everyone no matter who you are could use the message that we have to bring.

I hope you all have a wonderful week and a happy new year! I love you all and thanks for your support!

Love,
Sister Peterson
