Sadly enough it was transfer week again and sister Sowter and I were separated :( she went up north to Corvallis and I stayed in Grants Pass and we both became sister training leaders! So we still get to see each other at meetings every month. But I'm going to miss her! My new companions name is sister Dobs. She's great! She is from Ohio so we are reping the East Coast! But since Sister Sowter is gone I had to take over the area so wish me luck cause I might need it!
Saturday was M’s baptism!!!!!! :) :) You can tell how not excited I was.... Jk I was so excited all week and Saturday couldn't have come sooner! During the week we had some great lessons with him on the Book of Mormon which I really love teaching because I have a huge testimony of the power in that book. And then Friday night we took him to the stake center where they have a baptismal font and we showed him the font then he picked out a white jumpsuit to wear and I felt so proud of him seeing him pick out the jumpsuit and tell us he was feeling good and I said great good? And he said yes great good! and I know that Heavenly Father was smiling in that moment. He is so proud of M as we all are! He also invited his little brother and his mom who aren't members to be there which was very special for him to know that they are supporting him and just as excited as he was.
So here's what went down on Saturday! M got there before everyone showed up, and he changed in to his white jumpsuit and I felt like a proud mom. It was so amazing to see him in all white. We took a bunch of pictures so keep reading to look forward to them! Then we waited for his family to show up and when his mom got there and saw him she started to cry and she kept saying she's never been more proud of him. The Spirit was so strong the entire time! And when he got in to the water it was the most amazing feeling and experience I've felt on my mission. And M couldn't stop smiling the entire weekend he kept telling us how different he felt and how happy he was. It's truly amazing the changes that I've seen in him and the path that he is on. It was the best way to end the transfer.
Sister Sowter and I taught Gospel Principles on Sunday snd it was all about faith. Let me just tell you that on my mission this was a pretty easy topic to talk about. It was a great lesson because I ended up learning a lot about having faith in Christ. Something that I find amazing is that by having unshaken faith, anything is possible. Which is hard to remember and think about sometimes, but when we have faith and ask Heavenly Father for his help then he will be able to give us the strength and help that we need. We just need to put all of our trust in him and all things are made possible.
Sister Sowter and I were able to go to a young women's fund raiser this past weekend and it was so fun! It was a hoedown and M’s whole family came! Sister Sowter and I got thrown in jail and we had to get bailed out! It was so much fun and the young women here are so cute and they did a square dance for us! Saturday was just an all around perfect day!
I hope you are all having an amazing week! I love and miss you all and never forget that God is always there for you when you need him. All you have to do is ask.
Love,
Sister Peterson
